UFCW - Local 700 - A Voice for working America

Pictured here is Trudy Ward, a 41 year member from J-889. Trudy is looking forward to spending time with her 5 children and 14 grandchildren. She also has plans to visit California to spend some time there enjoying her family and the sunshine.

This is Nancy May from J 901. Nancy had in 31 years of service before her retirement. With only two States left to visit in the United States, Nancy and her husband of 47 years are looking forward to some travel. She also plans to continue her trips to the casino, her volunteer work, and spending time with her 2 children, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Pictured here is Leroy Cox from Con Agra. Leroy was a 40 year member and is looking forward to spending his free time fishing.

Pictured here is Glenda Nelson from Kroger J961. Glenda was a Kroger employee for 32 years and is excited about spending time watching her Grandchildren.

This is Pam Turpin also from Kroger J961. Pam recently retired after working at Kroger for 34 years. Pam is looking forward to some time with her grandchildren.

This is Ray Edwards from Kroger J961. He retired from Kroger after working there for 35 years. Ray is looking forward to his free time and spending some time outdoors.

Pictured here together are Glenda, Pam, and Ray. All three worked together at Kroger 961 and had a combined 101 years of service!

Pictured here is Jay Sumpter from J-879. Jay has worked for Kroger for 43 years. He and his wife have been married for 38 of those years. He is looking forward to spending time with his family and doing some traveling around the U.S. Jay has continued to work part time and has spent numerous hours volunteering in the community of Goshen, IN.

This is Terry Morgan. Terry has worked for Kroger for 35 years and just retired from J879. He is looking forward to spending some time with his two grandsons. Terry has been married for 42 years and is looking forward to traveling overseas where he and his wife have some family living in Europe.

Pictured here is Barb Arnett. She's just retired from J903 after working for Kroger for 41 years. Her husband Frank is still a Kroger Employee and hopes to retire in the near future. Barb is looking forward to spending time working in her flower garden and traveling to Florida to visit family. "Having a Union Pension has afforded me the ability to enjoy retirement."

Pictured here is Martha Minks. Martha was a UFCW Union Member for 36 1/2 years and retired from J909. Many of her years were spent as a Union Steward for Local 700. Martha is looking forward to spending her some time with her great-grand child.

Seen here is Rex Lane, a 25 year member from Kroger J886. Rex spoke with Local 700 representative Scott Barnett upon receiving his Pension. Rex said "My Union has provided me with a good job and working conditions and now, a great Pension. It pays to belong to Local 700."

Pictured here is Jim Sichting. Jim worked for Kroger for 40 years and retired from Kroger J907. He plans on spending lots of time fishing and playing with his grandchildren.

This is Lois Spears and she retired from Kroger J960 with 10 years of service. Lois says she is going to enjoy having lots of free time and will still shop at the store so she can see all of her friends.

Seen here is JoAnn Stephens. JoAnn is a long time friend of Local 700 serving as Union Steward. She worked at several Kroger stores and retired from J957 after 21 years of service. JoAnn is really looking forward to spending a lot of time spoiling her grandchildren.
